5 YEARS AFTER THE FOUNDATION WAS CREATED

the nourrir aimer donner foundation was created by cojean in 2011, and has funded and offered support to a large variety of projects over the last five years. its aim is to help fight poverty and to contribute to the sustainable development of the poorest communities worldwide.

the foundation is funded by cojean, who gives it 10% of its profits every year.

chance meetings that led to us supporting projects we had fallen in love with…
• funding infant schools and providing free school meals in sri lanka: offering 2 free school meals a day to all pupils attending schools receiving funds from the foundation in order to encourage local families to send their children to school.
• renovating then providing support to a nutrition centre in togo: since 2012, over 1500 nutritional supplements have been given out to local children in order to help fight malnutrition in the region.
• building spirulina ponds in laos: creating jobs and giving spirulina away to local children suffering from malnutrition.
• supporting alternatives-cameroun, a charity which fights homophobia in cameroon.

…followed by projects set up by the foundation itself. we continue to monitor them closely…
• opening a first pastry making/baking workshop to facilitate social inclusion through employment in 2013: the shuktara cakes workshop in calcultta (india) trains and employs young adults with disabilities.
• setting up a second workshop in siem reap (Cambodia) in 2014. young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds follow a year-long pastry making course, which enables them to find work on graduating.

…and, finally, some local projects in Paris, closer to home.
setting up a yearly partnership with local charities in order to help people living on the streets in our home city: since 2009, we have donated over 70,000 socks to homeless people in Paris, and we have also donated 18,000 undergarments in 2016 (homeless people often lack warm, clean underwear, which is a major problem that was reported to us by local charities).

…and the best is yet to come!
rendez-vous in five years’ time for a new catch up!
